Vector Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Advisor Geoffrey Hinton has won the 2024 Nobel Prize for Physics. Hinton shares this honour with John J. Hopfield “for foundational discoveries and inventions that enable machine learning with artificial neural networks.”

Leaning into the Nobel Prize excitement, I'm very excited to share my new piece in Nature Reviews Physics Nature Reviews Physics exploring how physics data and approaches can help us develop more trustworthy AI (read for free here!) rdcu.be/dWfr3 1/

Our endeavor on variational benchmarks for quantum many-body problems is now published in Science Magazine! In this large collaborative work (~30 institutions) led by Computational Quantum Science Lab EPFL, we established a practical, agreed-upon metric to quantify the hardness of quantum problems

hoping to see many of you at this upcoming machine learning 4 quantum matter workshop MPI-PKS Dresden in Dresden (Feb 24-28, '25): pks.mpg.de/mlqmat25 application *deadline* is _Nov 30_ !

Had fun presenting posters with Andrew Jreissaty at the “Neural Quantum States for Time Evolution” symposium in Regensburg today Forschungszentrum Jülich | @[email protected]

🎉Good news, everyone! 🎉 I will recruit graduate students on the algorithmic and theoretical aspects of Reinforcement Learning. You will join Adage, Mila - Institut québécois d'IA, and Polytechnique Mtl. More info on why and how you should apply: academic.sologen.net/2024/11/22/gra… Deadline: Dec 1st
