Always moving to march in the Annual MLK Love March hosted by Shiloh Church! It is the 55th year of the march that starts right in Ward 9 on Lawrence — and is a time of reflection to honor Dr. King’s birthday. Proud to walk alongside community heroes like our Fire Chief Alston!

Proud to have “adopted” the Fair Haven School 7th grade alongside Alder Miller and Alder Redente this year again! It was great to speak to students about making a difference in our community through civics and public service. And thank you for this massive thank you card!

It’s a great Sunday when UConn Women’s Basketball beats South Carolina! Excellent, disciplined, high-paced play and teamwork — with high assists and rebounds. Shout out Christopher Martins for always being great hosts on State Street and letting me cheer loud and proud for our UConn Huskies!

I am co-hosting a Willow Street Community Clean Up this coming Sunday, March 2nd at 1pm — alongside John Carlos (BOE Student Rep). Many students walk to school over this bridge every week. All supplies provided and would love to see you there! DM me if you'd like to join.

We launched our “Fair Haven Clean Haven Great Haven” anti-littering campaign! I believe the smallest unit of civic engagement is picking up a piece of trash in your neighborhood. Organize a clean up this Spring with us — and let’s keep Fair Haven clean, great, and proud!
