Found this old notebook from 2005/2006💜 Blew my mind how much we relied on writing. Mum had no speech but could write a lot of keywords or draw little diagrams. We pieced together what she wanted to say. So much effort for us all. Jan you've come so far💜😎 #Aphasia

It is incredibly unfortunate to have a #stroke but we are so grateful that Jan was able to get the best stroke treatment available in 2005 💜 it definitely saved enough of her brain to live a full and independent life.

New TV Ad💜 I'll never forget seeing mum for the first time in hospital laying unconscious, with tubes &monitors everywhere. Terrifying. I knew instantly life had changed and had no idea what would happen next. We will always be grateful for the support of Stroke Association 💜

I defy you not to laugh along 😆Jan has #Aphasia from a #Stroke & has difficulty speaking. The story isn't actually funny at all! But when mum gets the giggles that's it💜We did learn that in an emergency mum can shout "stop" when needed, that's the driving instructor in her😆
