Retruning to MPs alone the power to choose their leaders is the single most effective thing the Conservatives could do in opposition to recover from a big historic defeat.

It feels like the tides are finally starting to turn on this.

Allowing a few thousand unelected & unaccountable people to appoint a Prime Minister is fundamentally anti-democratic.

The choice should be returned to elected MPs, who are answerable to the public for their choices.
