looking back, all this “alignment” discussion really had it backwards dapps & l2s shouldn’t have to pledge allegiance to ethereum, they should choose us because we have the best product and if they’re that impressed they’re welcome to shill it

strong agree here, I think pump is defs bad, but I will fight for its right to fair access to ethereum blob space like everyone else

the crazy thing is all these numbers are in gas/s not gas/block so block gas limits would be 12x higher than this

in the last ~week since pectra, average blob count is already up by 1 per block

carlbeek.eth current blob throughput is also almost 2x higher than celestia and avail combined

it seems hypocritical to me that in the same call that CLs pushed back Fusaka timing, they want to add and bundle two massive features in glamsterdam and any concerns about timelines were immediately dismissed

would the fusaka delay have actually been needed if instead of playing with ePBS (+ FOCIL) prototypes we’d have have focused on shipping the current fork?

this effectively means that ACD is a sham, the decision is made months before based on what research CL devs want to work on because that is the only feature that will have sufficient research and prototypes for them to be happy to CFI
