Some standby CPD with Harry Coutts while on station this morning. Revisiting safe drawing up & IM injections. Booked on for a 10hr shift with YAS today in Hull 🚑

Massive thanks to Nick MediMemos.co.uk for delivering an evening of CPD for St John Ambulance’s Operations Team crews in Hull. Great insights into Critical Care provision in YAS, Trauma assessment and HOT principles. Some great stories shared of interagency working between SJA and YAS in Hull too! 👏

Pleased to see the Hull St John Ambulance’s Operations Team Hub returned to a Green assurance rating. It just shows that volunteer-led hubs can still maintain high standards 👏👏

Had a great day today talking all things #CriticalCare with our partners from St John Ambulance England who were absolutely sensational in their skills and knowledge. Massively appreciate a great day - joint learning is the way forward 💚 Jon T Yorkshire Ambulance

Late to the game, but used the new tread-depth keyring yesterday when doing a VDI. This is the kind of simple ergonomic change that makes a big difference to road safety. No need for crews to hunt for a gauge or (worse) guesstimate how much tread is left! Thanks Tom Willis & team!

The Treatment Centre is up & running Humber Street Sesh We've got a great team of Emergency Responders, Ambulance Crew and HCPs supporting this fantastic local event. The sun is shining and the music has started. Here's to a brilliant day! 😎

Great shift supporting Yorkshire Ambulance in Hull yesterday! Steve joined us as an observer to see how SJA is supporting the NHS. 7 emergency calls attended - a mix of medical, trauma & mental health. Only 3 to Hosp, 4 discharged/referred to alternative care. #VolunteerNotAmateur

Massive thanks to Jon T for delivering a brilliant CPD session on OOHCA for the St John Ambulance England crews in Hull this eve! Great knowledge & insights (plus a new nickname for Curtis too)... Cheers also to Harry Coutts for organising 👍🏻
