Air and aqua rescue operations are currently ongoing in Nyando and Kadibo Sub Counties to evacuate over 40 people marooned due to River Nyando breaking its banks, thanks to Kenya Wildlife Service for deploying a chopper. So far 10 have been rescued in Nyando and seven in Kadibo.
