Thanks to Colm Gildernew MLA for his support for carers at today’s Assembly Committee for Communities. Unpaid caring has an enormously damaging impact on carer’s finances and Carer’s Allowance isn’t fit for purpose. The Carer’s Allowance Recognition Payment would lift thousands out of poverty.
