👋 Bonjour from Université de Rennes! 📅 Today and tomorrow, we’re hosting the 2nd #DCarbonize Workshop: Catalysis for CO2 Conversion. 👥 A great opportunity for doctoral candidates to present their project advancements, network, and learn from diverse sessions!

🎙️ We kicked off the 2nd #DCarbonize Workshop with a welcome and project overview from Arjan W. Kleij (ICIQ), setting the tone for the two-day event ahead. 🎙️ Up next, Francesco Picchioni (University of Groningen) took the stage to present "Novel polymeric materials by extrusion".

👩‍🔬👨‍🔬 After the coffee break, we started the Doctoral Candidates' scientific presentations. Each DC is showcasing their current project status and the challenges they face. 🎙️ Presenters: Angelo Scopano, Natalia Kulbacka, Florian Barbaz, Enrico Lanaro and Lilas Aubel.

👩‍🔬👨‍🔬The afternoon continued with the rest of the Doctoral Candidates' presentations! 🎙️ This time, it was the turn of Hussein Tabaja, Sara Faoro, Elia Cecchetto, Giovanni Berluti, Owais Sheikh and Nishant Chaudhary. ☕ Now, we are off for a well-deserved coffee break!

🔬 We wrap the first day of the 2nd #DCarbonize Workshop with two talks by: 🎙️ Arjan W. Kleij (ICIQ) on "Creation of Functional Monomers from Carbon Dioxide". 🎙️Damien Belveze (Université de Rennes) on "Implementing FAIR and Responsible Data Management".

📅 The second and final day of the #DCarbonize Workshop is underway at Université de Rennes! 🎙️ We are starting with a keynote session by Thibault Cantat (CEA) presenting "The Catalytic Conversion of CO₂ in a Circular Carbon Economy."

💡 The final sessions of the workshop included: 🎙️ A session by Arnau Jordà (ICIQ) titled "Engage and inspire: essential tips for public speaking." 🎙️ A presentation by Florence Poirier (Université de Caen Normandie) on "Perception biases & representations in climate change research."

💡 The 2nd #DCarbonize Workshop comes to an end after two productive days of insightful talks, networking and sharing knowledge. 👏 A big thank you to all the speakers and participants for their valuable contributions!

👥 A few of our doctoral candidates met up in Paris before heading to the last D-Carbonize Workshop in Rennes. 🏛️ As proud Marie Curie fellows making the most of their trip, they visited the historic Institut du Radium, where Marie Curie herself began her research!

📅 Sheikh Owais, a #DCARBONIZE PhD candidate, attended the 3rd Umicore Catalysis Symposium in Hanau. 🎙️ Talks by experts like Prof. John Hartwig & Dr. Marc Mauduit covered key topics in catalysis. 💬 Owais: "The insights were invaluable, and I’m excited to apply them!"
