While I'm working on some female custodes (might take a while) here are some lovely female space marines in the meantime.

Honestly? I think 'they were always there' is the most lore-respectful way FemStodes could've been added. The mysterious bio-alchemy process that the Emperor created is canonically perfect. Pulling a Cawl/Primaris or 'warp did it' would've undermined that. (art by El Ratton)

Warhammer has, from the beginning, always been political. A political satire. Female custodes are not political, not satire. They’re just a logical conclusion of the fluff within the past few years.

This comic is great, but it is funny that your average 40k nutcase believes this. The existence of women somewhere can only ever be a plot from some shadowy being directly contro- ... aaaaaand, now this analogy is just tragic.
