Brilliant achievement for United under 18’s. Fully deserved champions. Some great individuals playing in excellent team pattern. The effectiveness of their pressing should be the benchmark for the whole club. Some great careers in the making and more to come in younger groups.

I have got to the stage where I am not massively concerned about United results. I do not think we have any chance of Champions League. I am far more interested in performance that give me hope for next season. The off field optimism has got to be matched on the field. #UTFR

I see that Congleton beat Vics 10-0 last night. Brought back Runcorn Linnets FC memories of 1964 when we beat Congleton 11-1 with Dave Gorrie scoring 6 goals.

Government has a lot to do with levelling up in the North. Apparently there is some bloke in Newcastle earning £1.5m a year. His employer has dismissed him due to job dissatisfaction and put him on gardening leave claiming his value to them is £100m plus.

Some of the fanciful ideas that Newcastle could effectively impose a 2 year leave clause and hold a prospective employer to ransom is contrary to my understanding of both employment and contract law. The only people likely to benefit wear white wigs.

If Dan Ashworth has been put on gardening leave for just telling his employer he wants to leave (doubtful he would have specifically referred to United and more likely job dissatisfaction) then they have effectively dismissed him. Unfair dismissal???

Main problem is lack of control. Against the better teams Luton struggle to have 30% possession at home. Against us at ht they have 60%

Great win for Runcorn Linnets FC yesterday. Difficult conditions on a pudding of pitch. Referee managed 10 bookings when there was not a bad tackle in the game. Every tackle seemed a booking. Not what non league football at this level should be about. Or any level for that matter.

Just watching Leverkusen beating Bayern in Bay Arena. Bit different than when I was there watching United beat them 5-0 in what was David Moyes best performance as manager.

Great win for Runcorn Linnets FC . Tactical switch after 20 mins of Will Saxon from 10 to wide against their back 3 set up worked a treat. Every time he moved from out to in they could not pick him up.

Sin bins???. Just leave the game as it is. There are laws covering dissent now …use them. Introduction will lead to other problems. Time wasting for 10 mins. Another decision subject to VAR. No thanks not for me. Getting close to having enough.

Playing footy in 60’s on Wyverns Place opposite Runcorn ground nobody wanted to defend. Everyone wanted to be likes of Charlton or Best. All of sudden it became sexy to be last man sweeper controlling ball strolling out and announcing you were Beckenbauer. RIP Der Kaiser.

Never known a tackle or challenge that does not endanger the safety of an opponent and the challenger. It’s football FFS. The only way you can guarantee safety is to not make the tackle in the 1st place. May as well impose no contact and let me go and find another sport to watch

That is not a sending off. That is an absolute joke. There was no force in the tackle. His foot hardly goes forward and he hooks the ball back. Gives us our game back FFS.
