After losing in the State finals my Sr year, the custodian of our school was there to congratulate me on my season. He, more than anyone, saw how many days I stayed after practice until there was absolutely no one left in the gym. Some acknowledgements mean more than others.

I can't give anyone opportunities back, but I can say this: Thanks. For inspiring us. For entertaining us. For pissing us off, for making us smile. For showing my kids that one day they can do what you do. Right now you are questioning whether it was worth it. Trust me- It was!
