THIS IS WHAT WE DO: New Mexico Department of Ag Standards and Consumer Services staff conducted youth outreach Sept. 26 at the Southern New Mexico State Fair in Las Cruces. Youth learned about weights and measures and fuel inspection.

John Arthur Smith was such an important NM lawmaker and his dedication to the state and his home community of Deming cannot be overstated. He was a true public servant in the best sense of the word and I was honored to serve with him. Rest in peace, Senator.

Dona Irwin was so much more than a State Representative to our community; she was its heart. She touched so many lives in Deming and Columbus, as well as the region and the state, and she will be missed. RIP, Representative. (Photo at her surprise 90th birthday party in 2022).
