The Royal Canberra Show this weekend (23 Feb-25 Feb) at EPIC. I always feel Royal Canberra Show is a mix of retro, serious and odd sights and sounds. It is a chance for us city kids to come face to face with livestock and see a whole pile of traditional activities and crafts

A Sun Dance at the National Gallery of Australia on Saturday. Starting in the sculpture garden to the sound of bells, chimes and humming the dancers glided around the building before leading us indoors for more interaction of performers, the building and the sunlight. #canberra

It was a perfect day for what seems likely to become CMAG's annual Nutbush Flashmob at Civic Square. About 350 people gathered to do the Nutbush Dance led by the fabulous performers of TINA, The Ultimate Tribute to the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll!, which was on in the Canberra Theatre

Detail of the entrance to the former Forestry School in Yarralumla. I love the tree badge thing (I have no clue what the correct term is) above the door. Apparently, there is a magnificent domed hall inside the building; I wonder if it is accessible to the public #visitCanberra

A view of Telstra Tower from the Australian National Botanic Gardens. While we all wait impatiently for Architectus to transform this iconic structure into a premier dining and cultural attraction, we can continue to enjoy spotting it from all over Canberra, #visitCanberra

Work continues on installing Ouroborous and its pond out the front of the National Gallery of Australia. I think Ouroborous is due to be opened in October. I confess I am fascinated to see how hot it gets inside it when Summer hits . . . #visitcanberra

After this morning's brutal arrests by the Russian-backed government, protests against the rugged elections are only growing. Will Putin lose Georgia? Hard to do USSR 2.0 without once again enslaving the freedom loving people of Georgia.
