Our #volunteers have been busy for the last few Tuesday volunteer nights. 15 tonnes of gravel moved to improve our footpaths and parking area. All part of our winter project list before the site starts to get really busy in spring. Blackburn Scouts @stgeorgesscouts

Thanks to a #suezuk grant, we are able to replace our current toilets on Canalside. Replacing the current system with bespoke composting toilets, along with the installation of a brand new #disabled toilet. Lots of work to do, watch out for updates on the progress.

First of the two new composing toilets from WooWoo Waterless Toilets installed and operational. The second is well on the way to being completed. Thanks to SUEZ UK for the grant support. Thanks to all the volunteers who came and volunteered with us this weekend.

Did you know: One of our first grants at the early beginnings of Canalside was a grant to purchase this barn from East Lancashire Masonic Charity. We have named the barn Acre House Barn after the farm which used to stand on this site.

Our new disabled access waterless toilet has arrived from WooWoo Waterless Toilets . A few days of volunteer time to erect the building now required. Thanks to Fagan & Whalley Ltd for delivering to site, and to Ethan, a former St Georges Mill Hill Scout who was the delivery driver.
