Now let's talk about tonight or more so overnight Sunday AM. Thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage after midnight, probably closer to 2am or later. Some of these storms could be strong to severe. Really looks like an Oklahoma show but we should watch near KS/OK line.

Spotty showers & storms will be possible through much of the night. However after midnight, thunderstorm coverage is expected to greatly increase. Looks like 2-10am Sunday morning could be quite active with either severe weather or heavy torrential rainfall.

Storms broke the cap down in Oklahoma. Likely to be an active night down there. As for KAKEland, storms are expected to increase overnight through Sunday morning. We MAY see a severe watch near the KS/OK line. Models are very aggressive much like last night. Worth watching.

First watch of the night, Severe Thunderstorm Watch UNTIL 5AM for NW/Western KAKEland. It's specifically for that supercell in Eastern Colorado. We could easily see more watches over the next several hours. Not overly surprising with how aggressive numerical models have been.

No surprise there, Severe Thunderstorm Watch UNTIL 7am. Like I said earlier, numerical models are really aggressive on severe storms overnight. It's mainly a damaging wind & hail theat. However IF we get supercells, isolated tornadoes could be possible. It could be a long night.

5/25/25 12:10am- Closely watching developing storms near the KS/OK line. Some storms already warned for large hail. These storms are moving NE at 30mph. Expecting storm coverage to increase out West especially after 2am.

Most intense storms are near the KS/OK line, but more so in Oklahoma. Also watching an approaching line in NW KS. Activity is expected to increase over the next several hours, especially after 2am. Storms could be quite rowdy if they stay discrete/isolated.

5/25/25 140am- Let's compare 3 zones. South Central KS- Numerous storms, not overly intense. West Central KS- More isolated storms, each storm has that shape, shows rotation. Small appendages or hooks. Northern OK- Powerful supercell with large hail. WHY? Excessive wind shear.
