"the global climate crisis cannot best be addressed by litigation, but instead requires collaborative global efforts" - a bizarre take given the essential and significant changes to Ireland's Climate Act that were made in the wake of Climate Case Ireland. independent.ie/irish-news/gre…

Great news. The #NatureRestorationLaw has been agreed by the EU Environment Council. I’m proud of the work we did in bringing it back to the Council today, when many thought it was dead. It has been restored in the same way nature will when we give it the right resources & space.

Thought at first glance this was a Waterford Whispers parody, but no, our Agri Minister Charlie McConalogue is now, in depths of #climate, biodiversity crisis, doubling up as fertiliser industry salesman.

Wonderfully disingenuous headline from RTÉ. Just climate accountancy. Almost all of this reduction is due to importations of UK electricity, “emissions from which are not attributed to Ireland.” 17% drop in electricity sector emissions this year - SEAI rte.ie/news/ireland/2…

It’s absolutely staggering in 2024 to watch a debate where both candidates are bickering over who would be better for the oil industry.
