With a collection near Feltham today I was able to do a bit of plane spotting while eating my lunch ✈️

Deliveries in London today - conflicting styles of Canary Wharf and Shoreditch but it’s the latter that has a true vibe and energy

Another unusual consignment - a trio of gramophones being loaded for delivery to the Midlands

When I changed my brake pads last week I noticed that our terrible potholed roads had taken their toll on some suspension components - so this morning’s job was to fit new a new ball joint, track rod end and drop links plus upgrade to polyurethane anti-roll bar bushes 😅

It’s been a hot and busy week but I managed to sneak an early finish today and I’m definitely ready for a cold beer 🍺

I’m keeping an open mind about the imminent 20 mph limit in Wales. Will certainly do a couple of jobs there to see how it works out but if it’s vastly increasing my travel times I just won’t bother going there anymore. Time is money and I have plenty of work in England anyway.

Yet more work on the van front suspension this weekend due to “slight wear” to the top mount and lower wishbone bush 😂 I’m sure the poor state of our roads really doesn’t help.

Wow that was close! My dash cam shows a lucky escape for me and numerous others in Swindon on Friday. The car subsequently hit a lamppost and overturned - driver trapped for a short period but then emerged with, apparently, only minor injuries.

It definitely not my favourite job but regular routine servicing is important. 90 minutes well spent!

If only all of my London trips were like today’s with gorgeous weather and reasonable traffic levels 😃 Came in on the M1 around 11:00, completed 4 furniture deliveries in North and West London plus one in Sutton by 14:00 and at the A3/M25 junction by 14:25. Bosh!

Some more TLC for my van - replacement rear brake pads and wiper blades followed by a wash and polish. All ready for the new working week 😁

Just completed my penultimate delivery of the week in the beautiful Chew Valley area. Just one more delivery in Wookey Hole and then time to head home for a 4 day weekend 😁
