Thank you editors at 3Elements Review for publishing my artwork, “Hypnotic Feelers”, in the current issue! My mixed-media piece is an exploration of memories retrieved during a hypnotherapy session, and is a companion to my poem, “Regression trance” from my new manuscript.

today I learned that if a human handles small birds it will not cause their bird parents to abandon them. and now I have to re-draft or abandon three poems. thanks science.

why would a magazine use submittable, accept simultaneous submissions and then disable the message feature? generally -- why not make it clear how to withdraw an individual poem?

"The ghosts in her stories suddenly became less baneful than before; all at once she even recollected a famous ghost in the south who would do as he was told if he was given his daily cupful the same as other people." a random sampling from Halldor Laxness

some poems steadfastly refuse to hold their shape. revision after revision they take on completely different forms. I call those poems "jerks"
