I am writing a book. No escaping it. I finally have protected (i.e., non-teaching) time to do it, although I also have kids and can't work particularly long hours. People who have done this successfully: What is a realistic daily goal that worked for you?

This looks exciting! Can't wait to read it. I hope it engages seriously with Lorde's erotic... the blurb in the tweet here aligns with one of her core ideas (she describes how capitalism & patriarchy cut ppl off from the "erotic demand" to actually let feeling direct our work)

This is such a great quote, which captures the figure of the "change of seasons" that appears again and again in Lorde's poetry... except Lorde is most concerned about the failures of this legacy-building:
