🌏 Our local partner PRDS marked World Environment Day this week 🏞️ The event aimed to raise awareness of environmental issues amongst students and the local community 🌳 The programme had tree planting, speeches & a rally in the local area to encourage environmental awareness

Yesterday was India's 77th Independence Day In our local partner PRDS 3 centres students and staff gathered for flag hoisting ceremonies & renditions of the national anthem PRDS students worked hard in advance to prepare cultural performances of poetry, songs & dance

It was great to see another round of student sponsorships take place at our partner PRDS The students from the higher classes and those attending college received support to assist them with their education costs. Forty students received scholarships through our funding

Our big annual quiz will take place on November 17th in Revels in Rathfarnham It's always a great night with many prizes up for grabs We will be delighted to see as many of our supporters there as possible & raise funds to go directly to the education projects we support

With #worldfoodday taking place, we'd like to celebrate the impact of school meals & their impact on keeping children in school Through our local partner PRDS(NGO) TELANGANA we fund a nutritional programme The meals provide nourishment & incentivise children to be regular in school

We want to extend a huge thanks to everyone who came to our table quiz on Friday night. The event was a great success, with 30 tables participating, creating a great atmosphere. We raised an incredible €3245 on the night, which will go directly to the projects we support.

Our partner PRDS recently held a capacity-building session for their older students to empower them The topics covered included leadership, the responsibility of students, the value of education, community participation and the dangers of trafficking for young people.

14 years ago, we started Calcutta Connect to provide educational materials. Today, we support 1200 students education. Thanks to our incredible supporters, we've made a lasting impact, transforming lives and creating brighter futures

15 years ago in August 2010, we started Calcutta Connect with the simple idea of helping young people in their education. We began by purchasing a small number of school materials. Today, we support 1,000+ students annually across 3 education centres with our partner PRDS.

15 years ago in August 2010, we started Calcutta Connect with the simple idea of helping young people in their education. We began by purchasing a small number of school materials. Today, we support 1,000+ students annually across 3 education centres with our partner PRDS.

In 2017, 110 students were enrolled at our partner school in rural West Bengal. Today, 1,328 people are part of education, skills training, and health programmes through PRDS. Your support is changing lives every year.

Every child’s future starts with a teacher. With our local partner PRDS, 62 staff members guide students from their first preschool steps to Class 10 exams—helping them build brighter futures. We're fortunate to have such a dedicated team working tirelessly to educate.

Every day, 358 pre-school children receive a nutritious lunch after completing their classes. The meal is an incentive to attend school from an early age and develop the habit of regular attendance. The lunch is prepared by our local partners' school cooks in each centre.

Since 2010, Calcutta Connect has supported thousands of older students through sponsorships. By covering costs in the final years of school, we help them stay in education, complete exams, and move on to higher studies. Each year, 250 students benefit through our partner PRDS.
