I just can’t figure out field attire. Why don’t I have long sleeves? 🥶 We’ll be back out again in a few months to see how the meadows are doing. I’m particularly interested to see how Ruppia in Wilson Inlet is after the sandbar hasn’t closed for the first time on record 🌧🌧

Some #seagrass meadows may be more resilient to #grazing than others 🦢🌱 In my first publication, along with Chanelle Webster @kmpmcmahon and Paul Lavery, we show that #recovery of seagrass meadows becomes more variable under greater disturbance doi.org/10.3389/fpls.2… Frontiers - Plant Science

Happy World Seagrass Day! 🌱 We had so much fun with these students. I reckon we’ve got some future scientists in the making 👩‍🔬

We (Centre For Marine Ecosystems Research) travelled across the world to #ASLO23 in June. We shared our work, and celebrated submitting theses and starting a PhD between us. Our minds were blown by the Med’ vis and our cups filled by the seagrass. We also ate LOTS of gelato. Thanks for having us ASLO

Voting is open until 31 July for the Australian Wildlife Society photo comp. There are some incredible images of Australia's iconic and lesser-known #animals. Plants are cool too - vote #seagrass! I submitted a photo of Posidonia sinuosa, which is listed as vulnerable on the #IUCNRedList.
