#InnovatingPlay A1: I feel that approaching learning in this way allows students to practice having authentic problem solving conversations while learning which is what play based learning does as well!

Sorry! had to dip out to drive home:) I feel like I would want just small moments throughout the day to just communicate that I see your effort! I needed that as a kid and I strive to make sure to give that to my students as best I can. #CRTandtheBrain

A2: #CRTandtheBrain I try to give immediate and in the moment feedback. I also still go with the good ole stars and wishes!

A3: #CRTandtheBrain ohhh I love a good song! I also try to use non verbal things like hand signals and movements. I do lots of things to activate prior knowledge. I love a good Padlet where kids can just tell me anything and everything they already know.

A4: #CRTandtheBrain Oh this is a great question. I think the first thing educators need to do is acknowledge their own biases and realize that most disciplinary measures are coming from a situation where someone's need are not being met for whatever reason.

A5: I think my big takeaway from this book is that I need to always keep striving to learn more about the brain! I will definitely be coming back to this book often. Thanks Supriya V for hosting these chats! #CRTandTheBrain
