Inspired by Ken Wambua, here first time to record my work and life on X- Today checked orchid specimens at The East African Herbarium (EA): 1. Satyrium chlorocorys - New for Kenya; 2. S. fimbriatum - New for K6; 3. S. crassicaule, not S. scaeptrum; 4. Not S. stairsii, but Disa stairsii.

Today’s new identifications to the orchid specimens The East African Herbarium (EA) : Holothrix pleistodactyla confirmed to be a new record to Kenya. Roeperocharis bennettiana, the second collection of this species in Kenya since the first in 1935.

My sincere thanks to the many herbarium staff The East African Herbarium (EA) for your support over these two months. I’ve gained a great deal of knowledge about Kenya orchids, thanks to the richly curated and well-organized specimens. I hope to visit the herbarium again in the near future.
