Over the next few weeks my account will feature images from various locations across Europe. These places are where young Canadians travelled to, did not make it home. From the area known as Flanders poppies reach to the sun .. Canadian Forces in 🇺🇸 #royalcanadianlegion #canada #belgium

He could light up any room. As a gunner in the Royal Navy during WWII, he battled German U-boats that stalked Allied convoys. He saw D-Day and the liberation of Hong Kong. “It seems like it was something I had to do” Bill Saunders died last week. Please remember him.

The Canadian Army Rangers are always ready for service – wherever and whenever the call comes! As they mark their 75th anniversary this year, it was an honour to receive the tomahawk and to learn more about the invaluable work they do in communities across Canada. #CR75

Private George Price was just doing his job. How could he have known they had reached the end? He would never know. He took a sniper's bullet and died at 10:58 a.m. Two minutes before the end. Remember Private Price.

On this Remembrance Day and always, I honour Austin John Hadfield, who fought for his adopted country of Canada in 2 World Wars, and lost his brother at Passchendaele. That's my grandma on his knee.

“If we’re not around to tell them, how are they going to know? Who’s going to tell them?” We will. We will tell them about you.

Deeply honoured to share this day of reflection and remembrance with the women and men in uniform, their families, and the veterans who are here today. We remember and honour the sacrifices of all those who have answered the call to serve, past and present. #CanadaRemembers

I had the pleasure of attending the first International Military Women’s Health Workshop, an opportunity to foster collaboration & optimize #WomensHealth for women and gender diverse #military members. What I saw today sends a powerful message of change and unity of purpose.
