The #Sahel region in Africa includes a rich diversity of people, cultures, and countries, but it also has acute challenges. Good to speak with Special Envoys, regional organisations and young people from the Sahel to discuss how we can work together for a more stable region. 1/3

De vlucht uit Jordanië met aan boord 104 evacués is zojuist geland in Eindhoven. Ontzettend fijn dat deze mensen nu veilig in Nederland zijn. Zij hebben in Soedan een hele zware tijd gehad en krijgen de komende tijd de hulp en opvang die ze nodig hebben. 1/2

Over the last three days, the Netherlands has completed six evacuation flights from #Sudan. At least 150 Dutch citizens have left the country safely, over 70 on Dutch flights. These flights also carried around 100 people from 18 different nationalities. 1/3

Inmiddels heeft Nederland zeven evacuatievluchten uitgevoerd uit #Soedan. In totaal zijn er ten minste 160 Nederlanders geëvacueerd, waarvan meer dan 85 door de Koninklijke Luchtmacht. Op deze Nederlandse vluchten zijn ook circa 130 evacués meegenomen van 18 andere nationaliteiten. 1/2

On May 4, the Netherlands commemorates victims of war. To honour those we have lost, we will observe two minutes of silence at 8PM 🇳🇱. Together we #remember.
