The end of an era in BGP. The US Dept of Defense is almost exclusively routed through AS721, which up until recently was almost exclusively transited by AS209. At 21:16 UTC on Oct-8, the last few hundred routes were transitioned over to AS3356 as AS209 heads for the scrapyard.
