It is strange how confident some people are that alleged breaking of the ministerial code (which she denies) is a resigning matter for Nicola Sturgeon when actual unlawful action admitted by Govt in Westminster (and not even apologised for) is not.

A Democracy that bans peaceful protest loses the right to call itself a democracy. I do not trust the police to judge what is and is not a justified protest. I felt this way before last night. I'm even more sure of that today.

Let’s do a thought experiment. A foreign government proposes legislation allowing the police to ban any protest. People demonstrate against this onslaught against their rights. Scenes like this result. How would this be reported. Don’t look away.
