This doesn’t seem to be getting a lot of press coverage today, so thought I’d help out. You’re welcome Matt Hancock Covid: Matt Hancock acted unlawfully over pandemic contracts bbc.com/news/uk-561254…

It is strange how confident some people are that alleged breaking of the ministerial code (which she denies) is a resigning matter for Nicola Sturgeon when actual unlawful action admitted by Govt in Westminster (and not even apologised for) is not.

This is how police treated football fans literally days ago! Why are football fans gathering illegally in the middle of a pandemic treated with more respect that women voicing their right not to be assaulted or murdered! #reclaimthesestreets #SarahEverard x.com/danadzjones90/…

A Democracy that bans peaceful protest loses the right to call itself a democracy. I do not trust the police to judge what is and is not a justified protest. I felt this way before last night. I'm even more sure of that today.

Let’s do a thought experiment. A foreign government proposes legislation allowing the police to ban any protest. People demonstrate against this onslaught against their rights. Scenes like this result. How would this be reported. Don’t look away.

Absolutely ludicrous statement. I've probably worked an average of 60 hours a week for the last year, and the same is true of at least tens of thousands of others. Taken far fewer holidays too, which I suspect is true of most people. theguardian.com/world/2021/mar…

A Russian independent journalist called me for a quote after Russia launched airstrikes all over Ukraine. She started begging for forgiveness for what her country is doing and may do to mine. We talked, and cried. My articles on how it started The Guardian theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

🧵 This is the picture the Kremlin wants you to see: thousands of people who support President Putin and the "special military operation" in Ukraine, crammed into Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. We went there today and talked to dozens of people who attended... 🧵

Liz Truss' budget means that those earning a million a year will have £54,400 extra in their pockets after tax and NICs. For those earning £25,000, the equivalent figure is about £280. Hard to imagine a worse response to a cost of living crisis.
