Happy to speak at this, remotely from Singapore. Though it’s great consensus was reached and there was little backsliding — especially in these geopolitically contentious times — progress has been incremental & big challenges remain for the new permanent global mechanism.

Though there was much celebrating there wasn’t a lot to celebrate in the recent conclusion of the UN Cyber Open Ended Working Group & launch of a new “global permanent mechanism”. Progress is glacial & the road forward is a rough one. Take a look at our perspective.
