My last day in Slovenia and I finally managed to order and pay for my coffee without speaking any English! I may have accidentally slipped in to Spanish and said Si instead of Ja, and she 💯 knew I was English speaking but I’m still counting it as a win 😂

The European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability has developed a #lifelong perspective for quite some time, as highlighted again during @EACD2023. Should we consider adapting our name from European Academy of Childhood Disability to European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability, keeping the same acronym?

Every so often, this incident comes up on social media and everybody has a laugh at the ignorant biologist that didn't know basic math. I think this case illustrates something very toxic about the way many of us think about a life in science.
