The "Use AI or you'll get left behind" crowd always makes me laugh with how obtuse they are. Get left behind on what? Being unable to think for yourself? Do things for yourself? Have meaningful human interractions? The techs goal is to simplify & automate not gatekeep future use.

I don't think most people realize what a crisis this is. Huge numbers of students now skate through school without doing any reading or writing. They will graduate without having learned a single thing. They will have diplomas but be completely uneducated. This is unsustainable.

That essay about students using chatbots to cheat on their essays is depressing for me because it feels like curiosity and a love of learning are dying from the world. Why even attend school if you’re not hungry to learn? Don’t you have the slightest interest in this world? ...
