AHA Council’s majority vetoed the resolution bc they have good reason to believe the membership would support it, and they suppressed a democratic decision-making process. Let us hope this is not a foretaste of anticipatory obedience to the current wave of authoritarianism.

Social and economic justice are actually essential for public health. The organizing we continue to see for folks of color, the environment, anti-capitalism, migrants, the incarcerated, the victims of genocide and war are the conditions of possibility for a survivable world.

Those eggs disappearing, it's not hoarding, it's bird flu... meanwhile the gov't is cutting medicaid and SNAP. If there were a pandemic doomsday clock it would be one second to midnight and this is just one theory. We are primed for it whether its bird flu or another disease...
