Here is this week’s #COVID19 report. Georgia hit a new daily high on Thursday with 7959 cases. Our statewide weekly count rose to 36,814 new cases, more than double the caseload of Thanksgiving week. Butts County added 92 new cases, 1 fatality this week, 3 hospitalized (1 of 2)

We enjoyed being a participant in the Butts County Chamber of Commerce Job Fair today Central Georgia EMC! A bit thanks to Ellen Glidewell, HR Director, Sonia Sands, 911 Director and Staff and other County officials who took part in today’s job fair.

Here’s the weekly report on COVID-19 cases in Georgia & Butts County. Cases are rising dramatically and our biggest concern here is that our area hospitals are overwhelmed, leaving EMS units waiting to admit emergency patients, and out of service for hours at a time.

Butts County Health Department will be offering a vaccination clinic on Saturday, August 28th from 9AM until Noon at the Butts County Administration Building. Appointments can be scheduled online at gta-vras.powerappsportals.us or you can simply walk up. Get vaccinated, save lives!
