Our department is set to launch a comprehensive provincial crime prevention strategy on Thursday to help in reducing crime.

The strategy follows from the discussions held at the Provincial Crime Prevention Summit which was held in April.

The strategy will establish a comprehensive policy framework, which will enable our department, SAPS and other law enforcement agencies

to address crime in a coordinated and focused manner, which draws on the resources of all government agencies as well as civil society.

Two Chinese men have been arrested near Bloemfontein for possession of seven bags of Perlemoen.

They were arrested at a police checkpoint on the M10 between Bloemfontein & Dewetsdorp. Good job by all officers involved in the arrests.

Road users traveling between Warden & Standerton will be delighted to know that the road works between the two towns are completed.

The road is an important road in the Eastern Free State as it links Free State with Gauteng, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal.
