I cannot stand by when I am seeing female patients being treated monthly with Cipro for recurrent UTIs, developing resistance, C. diff, needing a PICC line, almost dying, when they could have just been put on vaginal estrogen years ago 🤬

Ok when are we doing the vaginal estrogen for recurrent UTI study in young women? Because in my clinical (not evidence based) experience it works for them, too. The benefits are so great compared to essentially zero risk with trying.
