Check out our wonderful superheroes that have shown the Burnt Oak way and stood out for their amazing hard work this week. Well done superstars!

This week in EYFS we have been celebrating pumpkins. We've been on amazing school trip pumpkin picking. We investigated pumpkins, how they grow, made pumpkin soup and used our fine motor skills by hammering into them! We also loved sharing our learning with our families.

Year one have been creating their avatar on our Purple Mash platform that we use for teaching Computing. We have some budding digital artists for sure!

EYFS have been learning about Diwali the Hindu festival of lights. We have created our own Diva lamps and Rangoli patterns.

Yeah two have had great fun exploring habitats in Science. They've created their very own woodland habitat in a box. Great work Birch and Hazel class!

Our School Council students represented the school beautifully at the Remembrance Service at Mid Kent College. They enjoyed meeting veterans, asking thoughtful questions and showed impeccable respect throughout the event. Well Done School Council!

Here are this week's wonderful superheroes that bagged themselves a golden chair, cape and mask. They were all recognised by their class teacher for their amazing hard work, resilience and showing the Burnt oak way. Celebration assemblies are such a lovely way to end the week.

The basketball team had an outstanding performance, finishing 4th out of 26 schools at the Mini Youth Games. They played with great teamwork, determination, and skill. Every game was filled with effort and enthusiasm, and their sportsmanship made the school proud.

Birch class worked really hard learning how to use base ten to make exchanges when adding two 2-digit numbers. They worked in pairs, taking turns to make numbers, make exchanges and count the answer. Well done Birch class! Amazing work today. Miss King is super proud of you all.

Our wonderful dance team will be parading with Santa and performing not far from his lodge at both 12pm and 2pm. It's a lovely, family friendly event that's guaranteed to get you in the festive mood. Why not come along and support our dancers!

Year 2 went on a virtual trip to Antartica this week. They explored a snowy scene on a tuff tray, watched penguins taking their first dive into the ocean and huddled like penguins to keep warm. Just wait until you see their fabulous diary entries next week!
