Burnley Parkrun cancelled for the 17th December

Unfortunately we are on the list, if you are planning some tourism please check before you travel, it does get updated regularly parkrun.org.uk/cancellations/

Apologies everyone but we need to know the whole course is safe and unfortunately we do not have that assurance so we have had to cancel. I will post the link to the event cancellations shortly so the tourists can work out where they can head to instead of Burnley

Course check leaves us undecided,currently the course is runnable albeit through a lot of puddles. The car park is clear.forecast is iffy with the possibility of ice We will make the final decision in the morning after course check at 7.30,please check on here before you set off

Good morning everyone, Course check done and there is too much ice on the course unfortunately. It is currently -2 degrees at Towneley so not going to melt away any time soon. Karen

I love the inclusivity of parkrun allows us to celebrate the fastest ever parkrun time bring broken @ Edinburgh parkrun this weekend, I remember when our record was broken, all participants loved watching & being part of the record being broken. Well done Andrew Butchart

Unfortunately due to adverse weather conditions and course condition we are having to cancel today’s parkrun at Towneley.

Tomorrow’s event is unfortunately cancelled due to ice on the course. Hopefully we will back and at it next Saturday!
