The Bunker Theatre I only visited a handful of times, then you were gone, but going down that ramp into a friendly, artistic world was something I really enjoyed. You found & developed an underground car park & you built your own fascinating identity in a great space with integrity. I miss you.

REAL TALK ALERT: I’ve recently finished my 1st round of CBT (therapy) & waiting for my 2nd more in-depth CBT (god bless the NHS). My diagnosis & cause, which I don’t need to speak of here, are linked to my lower socio-economic upbringing, which is linked to a lot of past trauma

1 year ago I got to be part of this glorious week of queer joy & power & rage & LOVE 😭💖 So grateful that despite [everything] this feeling of community has carried me through this year & kept me connected with so many of the people I live to make spaces with & for.

Next up: Reptile by Macadie Amoroso (Blue Beneath My Skin, The Bunker Theatre). Alone within four walls, sometimes you need to have a conversation, someone talk back to you, someone to tell you that your ex isn’t worth it. A heart-warming piece about a cold-blooded companion.
