Agreed in terms of shipping costs/ environment & sustainability, however, playability & performance has to be a consideration. Also, less wind blow, less sand splash = less topping up. Reduction in wash down also massive gains in labour cost and again, not having to buy more sand

Big win needed.

BBB tends to suck moisture out of the sand leaving dry unstable sand. BunkerMat - drains great but also holds some moisture in the sand during dry spells. Both drain only as good as the drainage system installed in the bunkers though!

It's easy to see what the East Lake Golf Club project means to the AH Green Design team.

A perfect bunker sand on paper differs from what can be considered perfect to individual clubs. On paper Angular/ Sub angular, stats on a face better, consolidates better and this reduces plugged lie. Colour is very much a matter of choice. Round/ Sub round can work over liners.
