We had a lot of fun today exploring models based practice and cooperative learning challenges! It did get very competitive but a great demo of the 5 key elements of this model! ⁦WannaTeachPE⁩ ⁦Sport Science at Lincoln⁩ ⁦University of Lincoln, UK⁩

Exploring the Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility model in PE today looking at level 1 Respecting the rights of others … this is the awareness section - demonstrating self control and not interfering with other groups! ⁦Sport Science at Lincoln⁩ ⁦WannaTeachPE⁩

Continuing with the TPSR model and the awareness section of the lesson students had to work together embedding level 1 responsibility to perform the task effectively ⁦Sport Science at Lincoln⁩ ⁦WannaTeachPE⁩

Once they had shown progress within level 1 of the TPSR model we moved on to a group challenge still within the awareness section of the lesson. ⁦Sport Science at Lincoln⁩ ⁦WannaTeachPE⁩

For the main part of the lesson using the TPSR model we use Ki O Rhia a traditional Māori game to fucus on Level 1 Responsibility and maintaining possession. Thanks to ⁦Emily Haynes⁩ for teaching us ki O Rhia - works very well with this model! ⁦Sport Science at Lincoln⁩

Some further examples of supporting pupils with visual impairment - a guided tour of the sports centre!

Last example from today’s offer holder day! first time the leader didn’t wear a blind fold - the second time - they all wore a blindfold! ⁦Sport Science at Lincoln⁩

Year 3 BSc ( Hons) PE & Sport exploring The concept curriculum using the L.E.A.D lesson format - this is the E - energise activity - 10 successful rallies and they collect a letter then unscramble to explore the concept being taught! ⁦WannaTeachPE⁩ ⁦Sport Science at Lincoln⁩

Now moving on to the second activity with in the L.E.A.D lesson format - having explored 4 different types of serves which could be used to put an opponent under pressure! In groups working on the low serve! ⁦WannaTeachPE⁩ ⁦Sport Science at Lincoln⁩
