2nd garden records of Pale Brindled Beauty & Dotted Border (flew off) along with an Early Moth and a Dingy Flat-body last night, the 1st time I have run the trap this year Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths

A Red Sword-grass and 2 Dark Sword-grass to light last night 13/3 VC13 Upper Beeding Migrant Lepidoptera Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths

Unsurprisingly it's been rather crap on the moth front this spring but better the last 2 or 3 nights. 94/38 on 10/5 - clear/ Aurora night and 72/33 on 12/5 - cloudy and potentially a better night VC13 Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths

Presumably this is a very dark Treble Lines. There were 2 in the trap of this form on 14/5 Lyn Griffiths UK Moth Identification

Looks like Ethmia terminella so a possible migrant 14/5 VC13 UK Moth Identification Migrant Lepidoptera Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths

Portland Ribbon Wave last night-maybe a migrant but then again maybe not. Upper Beeding VC13 Migrant Lepidoptera Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths

This appears to be Wood Marble Lobesia reliquana, the flight time is down as May-June and has been noted in August possibly as an immigrant. Looks nice and fresh though. 71 species last night, highlights-Hoary Fman and 2 Oak Eggars Migrant Lepidoptera Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths

So with Hoary Footman, Green Oak Tortrix, 2 x Dark Sword-grass and the Wood Marble perhaps some migrant movement last night? VC13 Upper Beeding Migrant Lepidoptera Lyn Griffiths #Ukmoths

I was struggling on this one but I think it might be a well marked Marsh Oblique Barred.. UK Moth Identification

Just a Portland Ribbon Wave and 2 Palpita Vitrealis for me last night, Upper Beeding VC13 Lyn Griffiths Migrant Lepidoptera #UKmoths

Putative/ possible migrants last night (given the scarcity this year of the first 2) : Straw Dot x3, Silver Y x1, Portland Ribbon Wave x 1, Palpita Vitrealis x 5 (highest count I have had here) Upper Beeding VC13 Migrant Lepidoptera Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths

Hoping for better migrants/ possible migrants over the WE. 21/9- 2 DS Grass, 2 RS Knothorn, 6 Delicates, 4 L-Album Ws, 1 Olive T Pearl. 22/9- 1 SB Straw (NFY), 10 Delicates, 3x L-AW, 1 OT Pearl & a few RD Pearls. Upper Beeding VC13 Migrant Lepidoptera Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths

I've only been able to use a small actinic trap during the best migrant weather this year as I had discovered my choke on the Robinsons blew up Saturday night. 2 SB Straw, loads of Delicates 6/10, Radford's FS and Rush Veneer 7/10 Migrant Lepidoptera Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths

2 Gem, 2 Rush Vs, another Radford's FS, DS Grass and a few Delicates & Angle Shades last night VC13 Upper Beeding. 61/17 Migrant Lepidoptera Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths

A Small Mottled Willow was the only migrant last night. 12/8 species along with Feathered Thorn & December Moth NFY. Also RL Quaker, Lesser YUW, Oak Rustic, LBA Moth and Acleris Sparsana, VC13 Upper Beeding Migrant Lepidoptera Lyn Griffiths #UKmoths
