Buffalo Newspaper Guild members are selling Kids Day editions of The Buffalo News, to benefit Oishei Children's Hospital, until noon at the Tops stores on Jefferson Avenue and Niagara Street.

Newsroom friends said goodbye today to Deb Sur, a warm-hearted, talented and funny reporter who made our newsroom and community a better place, from her stories on the local impact of war to the plight of the homeless. Wherever Debadrita Sur lands next, our hearts go with her.

Our members care about our community. We showed our ongoing commitment on Kids Day when we helped raise $1,153 for Oishei Children’s Hospital and Cradle Beach Camp. We’ve never raised more in one day for these worthy recipients. Thanks to everyone who donated and volunteered.
