Well done to last year's S3 IDL pupils on winning the Scottish Fairtrade Education Award for their work on the @JTS_FairTrade 90kg challenge. Thanks to Aimee-Louise for collecting the award for the year group. This year's S3 have just started planning for their rice challenge!

Fantastic job from Amy, Mitchell, Craig and Noah today at Aberdeen City Council's #WorldChildrensDay event. They shared the action they have taken in S1 IDL on food and climate change and got some great inspiration on how they can have their say on Aberdeen's future.

The rice is flying off the shelves for the @JTS_FairTrade 90kg Rice challenge. Some amazing marketing techniques from the S3 IDL classes! The driving question for this project is "How can I successfully market fairtrade rice to provide an income for a Malawian farmer?"

Sold out! S3 IDL have now completed the @JTS_FairTrade 90kg rice challenge. Well done to the pupils who used marketing techniques to sell their rice, raise awareness and support a farmer in Malawi. Extra well done to 3S1 who sold the most rice with 3C2 and 3E1 not far behind!

We have had a great 2 days of the Countryside Classroom on Wheels visiting us as part of S1 IDL's latest project-How can I encourage people in my local community to "eat to save the planet?" Hands on learning about how Scottish farming is sustainable. Thank you RNCI

Making the most of the weather conditions today with a survival skills lesson in DofE! :-)

Some fantastic engagement with local charities this week from our S2 pupils as part of their YPI Scotland. Pupils have been developing their oracy skills and finding out more about the work and impact of the charities through Google meets; phonecalls and face to face meetings.

Great trips this week up to our local farm shop at Kepplestone as part of S1 IDL's current driving question-"How can I encourage my local community to eat to save the planet?" Lots of delicious food sampled and discovering new local products.

Very proud of our senior John Muir Award pupils. They have worked incredibly hard on this project throughout the year.

Fantastic work from our S2 Wider Achievement classes at the YPI final today. The judges had a tough decision to make with great presentations showing passion, knowledge and oracy skills. Very well deserved win for Tasha, Isla and Rachael who secured £3000 for Touch of Love Outreach (TOL)

Great start to the S1 Global Goals day 2023. S3 leading some of the bases and TechFest providing a great workshop on renewable energy. Our driving question for this is: "How can we use our “SCRIPT for Success” skills to support the Global Goals after a disaster?"
