๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’› Stage in the Spotlight #6B ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š Grammar today was all about adjectives . We watched a short video to remind us what they are, then went on to list more interesting adjectives we could use to up level our writing.Grammar worksheets were then completed.

๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’› Stage in the Spotlight #6B ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š We continued maths by revising the tables with snakes and ladders and online games .This afternoon we read the next bit of our reading books.We used context clues to figure out unfamiliar vocabulary and made connections to our prior knowledge.

Today in maths #P2 were learning how to partition 2-digit numbers. We did some practice on whiteboards before completing a worksheet. 2 of our ambitious learners challenged themselves and were successful in partitioning 3-digit numbers!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

#P6A in the Spotlight! This morning P6A worked hard on their spelling. They practised their patterns with their textbook/worksheets and active methods such as play-doh and scrabble tiles. Some of us looked at prefixes and suffixes while others looked at diagraphs.

#P6A in the spotlight. We then moved on to mental maths where we kept out mind sharp! We then worked on rounding to 10,100,1000 and decimal places. Some challenged themselves with significant figures! We also completed our Big Maths challenges.

#P6A in the spotlight After lunch we learned more about Historic Peterhead with a special look at buildings. We are learning to take notes that will help us create information pamphlets! Lastly we had assembly where we learned about the school value โ€˜Ambitiousโ€™.

#P6A in the spotlight! We were joined by academy pupils this morning to start Play Leaders! We learned about the skills of leadership and the importance of space today! We also had some fun! After break we consolidated our rounding knowledge through use of our TJ Textbooks.

This morning P5B were learning to use the chimney sum method. After that, we did our daily mental maths. Next, we focused on our new spelling sounds and strategies for this week! Then, we headed up to the library. Finally, we finished the day by continuing our topic: Peterhead๐ŸŽฃ

#P5a had Outdoor learning with Mr Thomson. Pupils undertook a measure challenge in the playground and had to record their results in their jotters. After break time we shared our results with the class and discussed this with Mr Thomson.

#P5a undertook our daily mental maths challenge. Pupils are motivated to improve their scores everyday. On completion pupils completed Big Maths and Sumdog challenges on their iPads. We then peer assessed our work.

#P5a completed our writing for the week which was an assessed piece of work. We used a video stimulus to inspire us to create interesting characters, settings and plots. Pupils worked very hard to write their best piece of work.
