Finished wiring the sauna. Heater is 7.5kw; this beast pulls ~32 amps @ 240 volts. 150ft cable run, so had to use 8 gauge wire due to voltage drop. Auxiliary 120V lines for various safety sensors. I knew how to do exactly none of this before building a pinball machine, btw

A fleshtone-painting exercise that really helps is to simplify the subject to an egg form. Then see if you can capture the same type of color variety on it (removes drawing from the equation.)

The 'rough' sketch I sent to Wizards of the Coast for an MtG card. My roughs aren't really all that rough - clients usually don't know how to interpret a true rough. These are basically finished value comps. #MtG
