WHAT A GALA WEEKEND!! It has been a wonderful Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway Diesel Gala. Both guest locos have performed faultlessly and 26043 returned to traffic on Saturday. Huge thanks to all loco owners, support crew but extra special thanks to our Gala Committee for pulling it all together!

There’s more 47105 action this week, on Thursday 31st July it’s on the Green 84 mile timetable which starts with the 0940 to Broadway, then on Saturday 2nd August it’s on the last round trip of the Red timetable.

47105 is out tomorrow (10th Aug) on the Pink timetable, first train is 1020 from Toddington. Following that 47105 will work the Red timetable on 19th & 20th Aug, then 47376 will work Red timetable 23rd & 27th and Purple timetable 24th and 25th August. The diesel only running at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is on until at least Tuesday 19th August meaning 47105 will be out all day instead of just the last train of the day. The position regarding running steam engines will be reviewed soon based on the hot weather risks.
