Congratulations to the newest graduates from BSO's Motor School. These dedicated individuals from BSO's Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Services have completed a rigorous two-week training course, which equipped them with all the skills they need to join BSO's Motor Unit.

We aren’t simply reflective of Broward County. We ARE Broward County! Over the last six years, my administration has focused on recruiting, training and retaining the most qualified workforce. Broward County is a community rich and diverse in cultures and ethnicities.

I want to salute our unsung heroes, the voice behind the mics. From the first call to the last, our 911 dispatchers keep our community safe. Thank you for your tireless service and commitment to excellence.

National Telecommunicators Week (NTW) is an annual, nationwide recognition of public safety telecommunicators who have dedicated their lives in service to their communities. Often the anonymous “voice behind the mic,” these remarkable men and women are the real first responders!

The motorcyclist struck by a hit-and-run driver last month in Deerfield Beach has died from his injuries. The Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit is continuing to seek clues to locate the driver who struck him.

Eid Mubarak to the members of BSO and the residents of Broward County who are celebrating the end of Ramadan. 🌙

Last night, I had the honor of speaking with the Plantation Democratic Club to discuss the initiatives I embarked on when I started serving Broward County, as well as the numerous accomplishments our organization has achieved.

Rise and shine, it’s time to start the grind! As I continue with the BSO Fitness Medallion Challenge, I decided to spice up the run portions. I’ve been inviting BSO personnel to join me, as one team. Today, our newest cadets joined in, eager to showcase their abilities. 🦾

Today, I had the opportunity to engage in vital discussions with local clergy members about BSO’s progress, plans for the future and priorities within the community. Together, we’re building a safer, stronger future for all.

Congratulations to our newest SWAT graduates! BSO’s SWAT school rigorously exposes deputies and firefighter/paramedics to the most extreme circumstances and situations, equipping them to effectively tackle serious public safety challenges.
