Hot take: If residents are so burned out and exhausted that they put aside their fellowship goals and dreams of subspecializing bc they can’t imagine doing more training, maybe the system needs to be changed.

Residents: A goal of fracture treatment in the elderly is to regain prior lifestyle if possible. The smaller your role in life the more you need it. If pt insists in caring for cats and plant he/she isn’t stubborn, that is his/hers role in life and we should aim for it.
