This lobbying organization is pushing to kill the Risky Research Review Act. Shortsighted! The Act puts guardrails around govt funding for the kind of dangerous research that likely launched the covid era. It is needed to protect the public & regain public trust in science.

The Risky Research Review Act provides independent oversight of high-risk research. It will safeguard the public from lab-generated pandemics without negatively impacting on biomedical research. The Risky Research Review Act is common sense legislation that would protect us all.

These lobbying organizations need to be a bit more discreet and not be led by the same folks like Sudip Parikh who are running Fau.. Science™ protection racket.

Earlier today, the lobby group Research America deliberately spread misinformation in order to undermine the Risky Reseach Review Act. I guess we shouldn't be too surprised, given the same organization posted this in 2021:
