If I remember right, Alex Elkins (sacking Landry Jones) didn’t play football until he tried out at Blinn junior college. Gets to OSU eventually and the rest is history. Pretty underrated story of that 2011 team.

Carson’s great 2nd half of 2016 apparently came from a fellow OSU RB jokingly giving him trouble about being too flashy and not using his physique. Carson took it to heart, started going through people instead of trying to go around. Totally changed his trajectory as a player.

If NIL and the new transfer rule were legal in 2007, they would’ve had to shut down a cell tower to keep the Big 10 and SEC from harassing Pettigrew.

As promised, here’s the full video of Thomas Hammock’s impassioned remarks on the state of the transfer portal. Hammock briefly highlighted his own experience as college athlete, saying he considers the lessons he learned in college more valuable than any financial incentive.

OSU basketball was banned from the post season over a player receiving 300 dollars to choose a certain financial advisor for when he LEFT college. He eventually paid the money back. You already knew this, but it’s appropriate to bring up on days like today.

What a slap in the face to Oklahoma State. NCAA said it had "sufficient grounds for a multiyear postseason ban" on Michigan ... BUT ... that would "unfairly penalize" athletes "for the actions of coaches and staff who are no longer associated with the Michigan football program."

The @ncaa is so spineless. They’ll ban the team that’s already down, right before their season starts, but put on this facade about how it’s “unfair” when the opportunity comes to punish the blue blood. They are the antithesis of supporting college athletes. Evil people.
